How Do I Search In BusinessRegisterPR.com?

Enter in the search box the product or service description that you are looking for, for example:

In anyway the word or phrase is entered, BusinessRegisterPR.com will help you refine your search.

For your convenience, you will obtain the same results entering text in uppercase or lower case, with or without accents. The use of abbreviations is not recommended. If you are not sure how to write a word simply use an asterisk (*) as "wild card". For example, you can write Axe* to find Axesa Servicios de Información S. en C.

At first sight, your search results will be listed in order of name relevance. Businesses that are named after the entered word or phrase will appear first. Each business listing contains basic information about the company such as name, address, phone and main NAICS Code and Description. Additionally, the listing will indicate if there are other fields of information such as: email, map, website or ad in Business Register. Upon clicking on a listing, the Company Profile Page is displayed. The Company Profile Page contains the fields of information featured in the listing plus specific company information like products and services offered, main company officials, affiliated businesses, among others.

To return to the listing results simply click on >Previous> or in the "Back" button in your browser. You will be able to see business listed in order of relevance, in alphabetical order or by advertiser. You can also change the listing view in the header located over the listings that reads: Alphabet, Advertiser, Relevance by clicking on the active link. The inactive link represents your current view.

Refining Your Search

Upon entering a word and pressing the "Search" button, you will obtain a list of businesses that match the word searched. To the left hand side of the page, is the "Refine Search" box featuring the options available to drill down your search and in parenthesis the number of listings contained in each field. You can refine by NAICS Industry or by location.

You can also refine within the existing results by using the box at the bottom of the Refine Search box. Here you can enter a word or phrase to obtain a new set of results from within the listings featured in your original search.

Another way of refining results is according to the company attributes featured in the boxes to the right of the listings: Sales Volume, Memberships, Employment Bracket and Export Markets.

On top of the Refine Search Box, you will be able to track down all refinement options selected. To remove any refinement criteria simply click over it and you will obtain a revise search list.

What Is NAICS?

NAICS stands for the North American Industry Classification System. NAICS is a system for organizing industries and businesses that are involved in similar economic activities. NAICS was developed by the US Federal Government, in collaboration with the agencies in charge of statistical analysis in Mexico and Canada, to facilitate the analysis of economic activity between the three countries. NAICS was adopted in 1997 and later updated in 2002. BusinessRegisterPR.com uses NAICS to organize the industries and businesses in Puerto Rico.

Advanced Search

If you prefer to look for specific fields of information, you can use the Advanced Search feature. The Advanced Search feature link is located below the main search box and in the footer section of each page. You can fill out one or more of the available fields to complete your search.

How Does The New Search Engine Works?

The new BusinessRegisterPR.com website provides the following search alternatives: entering a name or keyword in the main search box, entering one or more fields in the Advanced Search feature and browsing the categories of the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS).

Upon completing a search with one of the alternatives before mentioned, a results page is obtained with business listings ordered by name relevance. Businesses that are named after the entered word or phrase will appear first. Your results will be organized for further refinement according to the 10 most important economic activity sectors in Puerto Rico:

How Are Listings Organized?

For most searches, listings will appear in relevance order. Results will try to approximate as much as possible to the word searched.

Why Are There Businesses Without A Map?

Some maps have been omitted because their address is inaccurate or incomplete. We are working in offering maps for all business listed. This requires that we compile the exact coordinates of each business. We appreciate your patience while we work out this situation.

Can I Purchase A Customized List Of Businesses?

At this time our company does not offered customized business listings for sale.
